2. Crystalline silicon solar cells
Silicon: manufacture and properties

Design of high-efficiency silicon solar cells
3. Thin-film technologies
Amorphous silicon solar cells
Microcrystalline solar cells
Cadmium telluride thin-film PV modules
Cu(In,Ga)Se2 thin-film solar cells
Multi-junction solar cells
4. Space and concentrator cells
GaAs and high-efficiency space cells
High-efficiency concentrator silicon solar cells
5. Organic and dye sensitized cells

課程目標 |
To provide practical understanding of semiconductor materials and technologies on the design and development of solar cells. The course will start with a brief overview on the operation principles, followed by the introduction of traditional crystalline silicon solar cells. Then some advance solar cell technologies will be covered, such as thin-film solar cells, concentrator solar cells, organic and dye sensitized cells, and etc. |
